Available Vivace Microneedling Treatments in San Diego

The Vivace microneedling treatments we offer in San Diego by area and concern, including face, neck, body and combination plans, with session guidance.

Back to the main Vivace Microneedling page

Vivace is one device, but it is not one treatment. Depth, energy and the number of passes change with the area and the concern, which is why we describe it as a menu rather than a single service.

Everything below is available at our Hillcrest clinic in central San Diego and at our Solana Beach clinic on South Highway 101.

Each option starts with the same consultation: we look at your skin, ask what bothers you most, and set a plan and a realistic timeline.

Numbing cream is included in every treatment, and none of these require you to take time off work.

Full face

The most requested treatment. It targets fine lines, pores, uneven texture and early laxity across the forehead, cheeks, nose and chin.

Depth is adjusted region by region, shallower around the delicate skin near the eyes and deeper across the cheeks.

Three sessions four to six weeks apart is the usual plan, with results continuing to build for about three months afterwards.

Face, neck and décolletage

Treating the neck and chest alongside the face avoids the mismatch where a smooth face sits above crepey, sun damaged skin.

The neck and chest need gentler settings because the skin is thinner and heals more slowly.

This is the plan we most often recommend to patients with years of San Diego sun exposure.

Acne scarring

For rolling and boxcar scarring we work deeper and plan a longer course, often four to six sessions.

Improvement is gradual and partial rather than complete, and we say so up front. Texture softens; scars do not disappear.

Active breakouts need to be settled first, so we sometimes treat acne before starting scar work.

Body areas

Stretch marks on the abdomen and thighs, crepey skin above the knees, the upper arms and the back of the hands all respond to Vivace.

Body skin remodels more slowly than facial skin, so plan on a longer course and a longer wait to judge the result.

These areas pair naturally with EMSCULPT NEO when the shape underneath is also part of the goal.

Combination plans and next steps

Vivace works well in a sequence with our other devices, including Exilis Ultra 360 for tightening and XERF where deeper resurfacing is warranted.

Results vary with age, skin type, sun exposure and aftercare, and daily sun protection does more to protect your investment than anything else.

Request a consultation and we will tell you which of these treatments fits your skin and what order to do them in.

Where you would be treated

San Diego city patients are seen at our Hillcrest clinic; North County coastal patients can book the same treatments in Solana Beach.
